I love to do a pantry reset every couple of months. This just helps me get an inventory on what we have and discover all those things that have been pushed to the back of the shelf and forgotten about. Also who doesn’t love a nice tidy space! So if you’re wanting to do the same for your home, here’s my advice:
- Find an organization system that works for your family. It doesn’t have to all match or be “The Home Edit” perfect. I’m a big fan of the show but I don’t have $500 to drop on matching containers so our organization is a compilation of baskets and containers we already had and a few that I purchased. It works for us and that’s what matters.
- If you know you’re not going to eat something, quit keeping it and just throw it out. We manage to collect random things that we’re never going to eat so every so often things need to go.
- Know what you have in your pantry and buy groceries based on that. This saves space and money. Every time I make a grocery list I like to check what I already have so I don’t end up with multiple duplicates.
I love to tidy up a space, it’s so satisfying and helps me feel like I’m in control of my environment. Start somewhere small and see what you can do!
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Colossians 3:23-24
With love and legos,
